Evening primrose ‘Silky Orchid’ – now in full flower, its sheer flower power is astonishing & I can’t rate it highly enough! This very resilient perennial form creates a lovely loose, romantic feel to edges – I love the way it tumbles across & amongst other plants. (There are 2 ‘Silky Orchid’ plants showing in the first two photos).
The bees have been all over its flowers, & evening primrose is a wonderful plant for moths, too.
The last photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, just to demonstrate how quickly the flowering ramps up, & it will carry on for ages yet.
