A newly planted Gilia capitata (Blue Gilia) – first time I’ve used this cracking little plant (reminds me of a pincushion) packed with dozens of tiny gentian blue flowers attractive to pollinators like butterflies & bees. I especially like its pretty fern-like foliage.
Although an annual, it readily self-seeds & it’s also drought tolerant. Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained, moderately fertile soil. It’s a lovely filler for this time of year, & such an easy plant to use. 💙💚
